“We engaged Saunders Building Company to bring our Ivan Gastaldon Architects design to life on our Alderley Queenslander, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
The quoting stage was very transparent and easy to understand. Kirby was upfront about which costs were fixed and which were variable, so we knew exactly what we were signing up for from the outset.
The job commenced on time and was scheduled for 13 months. The SBC team had us at completion stage within 11 months, in time for Christmas.
Our foreman Drew was outstanding. He was easy to get along with, worked well with our designer in a JIT manner, and his eye for detail was excellent. He held all trades to a very high standard. Cost variations were minimal and the few we did receive were well identified in advance and proactive. Defects at handover were minor only, and Dan and the post-completion team have been very proactive addressing everything we’ve raised.
We highly recommend SBC. You get what you pay for, and whilst they are not the cheapest, they are the best in the business. Our experience supports this from start to finish.
